Hey guys, Luna Krov here again with our blog for 2015. I hope you all had a wonderful new year, enjoyed the celebrations and spent plenty of time with family and loved ones. For the past couple of weeks I’ve had copious internet drop outs, so I haven’t been able to play much RuneScape. But that won’t stop me from writing! It just means that my post this month isn’t going to be quite as long.

Right, let me start with the basics. This month one of the major updates Jagex brought to the game was the introduction of boss pets. These included pets ranging from Nex, Bandos and to my all-time favourite: Mega Duck. When this update first went live, I managed to put a small team together of clan members and we headed to Falador Park where we had to feed a drake 21 pieces of bread crumbs within 20 seconds. It took us a few tries, but we finally managed to summon Mega-Duck in all its quacky glory, and boy, was it adorable! I’ve attached a few screenshots below of our epic duck hunting fun.

January brought us our clan skilling event of the month: crafting. Over 256 clan members gained experience in crafting within the two weeks of the competition so well done to all of you! A special mention goes out to iPaintpot12, who won the competition with an amazing 11.3 million crafting exp! February’s clan exp event starting from the second will be woodcutting – this will span across two weeks, just like our previous events. Also starting at the end of February is our next in-game double exp weekend. Have you started preparing?

Hati and Skoll also reappeared in the land of Gielinor this month, along with a player-polled update to ports. These updates happened in the last couple weeks of January though, so I can’t tell you too much information about them; you’ll have to go check them out for yourself!

Thanks for another amazing month, NBS. I hope that my internet will get fixed as soon as possible so I can join you all again in our skilling and killing.

To NBS With Love

Hi all of you beautiful clannies. Luna Krov here bringing you my first ever blog post for NBS. Today is going to be all about introductions and Christmas celebrations. I’d like to first let you all know what this space will be used for. I will be covering major RuneScape updates to clan experience competitions. I’ll highlight clan events, spread some light on clan member’s achievements throughout the month and hopefully by the end of the post, each of you will have a smile on your face. This blog however is not just a spot where I write everything and you have to read it, let me know what you want to read about in relation to our favourite game RuneScape and our clan, and I’ll be sure to find space for it. I’m here to have fun along with you all, so let’s kick-start this first post with epic Christmas celebrations during the month of December.

This year Jagex offered three different Christmas events for us to enjoy. These included delivering Christmas presents to pull the cracker with bad jokes (come on, we all knew it was true!), Snowverload the snowman boss and snowboarding. Completing each event gave you experience and some festive rewards. Jagex also spread three different skilling weekends over the course of December, ranging from a mini-game weekend to a dungeoneering weekend, which offered extra rewards and points in those categories. This made it easier to gain combat experience in Pest Control, and cheaper to repair Chaotic Weapons – very, very useful. Not only did we have fun with in-game Christmas content, our own Christmas party was an event not to overlook. Our clan leaders gave inspiring speeches and I believe there were at least a hundred clan members there to join in the fun. Afterwards, we had an amazing drop party – followed by our clan ritual of the longest conga line in RuneScape. This Christmas, I must say, was a very memorable one.

To shed some light on other clan related news, we held a smithing experience competition for two weeks during December. These competitions not only give clanmates more incentive to gain levels, but they also give us the opportunity to spend time together skilling – which makes it all the more entertaining! I’d like to give a special mention to BeastBoy69 who won this month’s clan competition with a huge gained experience amount of over twelve million. There is almost always a maximum of five hundred clannies in NBS (because we are all so good at vexing), which means we have a large array of skillers –from people with max cape, to those with 120 capes. Hosting skill events and boss events give us all the opportunity to try something new, or gain a few extra experience in a skill we might really disagree on. Slayer Beast is another clan member who I’d like to give a special mention. It’s his first time organising a boss-related event for a clan, giving tutorials and inside knowledge to those who are keen to do some killing and find some epic drops.

With a busy December and New Year’s just on the horizon, I’m sure you’re all finding it difficult to spend a lot of time on RuneScape, I know I am. But it’s been just wonderful logging in and seeing the NBS family bright and cheerful at one of the most stressful times of the year. You all rock! In January we are hosting a crafting skilling event, and I can’t wait to see what achievements we receive in the first month of 2015.
